Twelve Danio Triptych — watercolor, ink — six individual 2.5” x 3” watercolor paintings
This collection is all mounted in one frame. The common names of these fish are (top to bottom, left to right): Zebra danio, Meghalaya danio, spotted danio, gold-ring danio, celestial pearl danio, emerald dwarf rasbora, glowlight danio, moustached danio, rosy danio, pearl danio, blue danio, and yoma danio. I tried to paint them to be life-sized when possible (Danio dangila gets 6” long! Had to shrink it to fit.) The smallest one in my painting is Danio erythromicron, which is 0.75” long.
